# AI Provider

> Private AI that forgets what you said. An OpenAI-compatible chat completions API that never stores messages or replies. Paste one key into any app that takes an OpenAI-style key.

AI Provider runs one model, `aiprovider-1`, on dedicated GPUs rented in US data centers. Our provider's policy is not to store or log what we send them. We never store your messages or the replies.

## Use it

- Base URL: https://api.aiprovider.org/v1
- Model: aiprovider-1
- Auth: `Authorization: Bearer ap_...` (get a key at https://aiprovider.org/signup with Google or email; the key shows on screen; add credit from $5 to start)
- Endpoints: `POST /v1/chat/completions` (stream and non-stream), `GET /v1/models`, `GET /v1/account` (credit, spend, plan, limits)
- Works with the official `openai` Python and JavaScript libraries: set base_url / baseURL to the base URL above.
- Replies include a short reasoning step in `reasoning_content` (stream: `delta.reasoning_content`), billed as output tokens. The answer is in `content`.
- Tool calling: OpenAI `tools` / `tool_choice` / `tool_calls` (and legacy `functions`), streaming included. Guide: https://aiprovider.org/docs/tools
- Limits: 1,048,576 tokens of context, 131,072 max output tokens, about 4.5 MB of JSON per request (roughly 1M tokens of plain text).
- Not supported yet: images, audio, files, embeddings, n > 1.

## Pricing

- Pay as you go: $0.20 per million input tokens, $0.80 per million output tokens (about 1,000 typical replies per dollar). 2 requests at once, 30 per minute.
- Pro: $25/month, includes $30 credit each month. 4 at once, 60 per minute.
- Business: $99/month, includes $125 credit each month. 8 at once, 120 per minute, priority email support, data processing agreement on request.
- Credit: $10, $25, $50, $100 or any whole amount from $5 to $1,000. Bought credit never expires; plan credit is used first and resets monthly. Optional auto top-up. No free credit.

## Rules

- Doesn't lecture; refuses far less than big-name assistants.
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18 is always blocked.
- Not for US patient health records (no HIPAA business associate agreement).
- No reselling access, no automated sign-ups.
